Smoky Quartz + Microcline

Specimen of small smoky quartz crystals on microcline. The larger microcline crystal in the centre is 14mm x 10mm. There is also a crystal of muscovite mica (6mm) on the right-hand side.
The smoky quartz is transparent. This specimen and the next one came from a thin pegmatite vein cavity in a granite boulder. Collected 1994. (Author: Mike Wood)
